In the last 24 hours, 90 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital, 71 people were infected in Dhaka

Desk report: In the last 24 hours, 90 more patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country due to mosquito-borne dengue fever. Among them, 71 people are under treatment in Dhaka and 19 outside Dhaka.

This information has been informed in the regular dengue report of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health across the country on Friday (September 2).

Department of Information Unit (MIS) in charge Dr. Md. According to the report signed by Zahidul Islam, a total of 776 people are currently admitted with dengue in public and private hospitals of the country. Among them, 652 people are receiving treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka and 124 people are receiving treatment in other departments outside Dhaka. It was informed that 22 people died due to dengue from January 1 to September 2 this year.

 

At the same time, a total of 6,447 people were admitted to the hospital. The number of admitted patients in Dhaka is 5 thousand 305 and 1 thousand 142 outside Dhaka. Five thousand 649 dengue patients have recovered and left the hospital during this time. The number of discharged patients is 4,643 in Dhaka and 1,643 outside Dhaka.

Incidentally, dengue outbreaks occur in different cities of the country including Dhaka every year during the rainy season. In 2019, about 300 people, including doctors and health workers, died of dengue fever. 1 lakh 1 thousand 354 people were affected. And in 2021, 105 people died of this disease and 28 thousand 429 people were affected.
